In the most recent fiscal year ending July 31, 2009 White Rock Hospice Society:
- Staff and volunteers supported 501 new clients
- 216 people as palliative care clients
- 285 people as grief clients
- Professional counsellors offered individual and family support at no charge
- 292 volunteers gave 30,966 hours of time for our programs
- 103 Client Volunteers gave 11,227 hours to support individuals and families
- 57 Friends of Hospice gave 6,131 hours to help reduce staff costs
- 132 Thrift Store Volunteers gave 13,608 hours to help fund our programs
In our current fiscal year budgeted expenses of $380,000 will be derived from:

In February, our Thrift Store located at 15562 24th Avenue celebrated its first anniversary.
A major project in process at this time is a Hospice Residence for the people of the Semiahmoo Peninsula.White Rock Hospice Society has assembled the land and completed the development of architectural plans for a 25,000 square foot, 14 bed hospice residence and expanded resource center to be constructed on Russell Avenue in White Rock, immediately adjacent to Peace Arch Hospital. A rezoning application was pursued and has now been approved. In 2009-2010, the Society will continue to focus on building the relationships that are necessary to finalize plans and secure funding to ensure that the hospice residence is constructed as soon as possible.
