Counselling

Dealing with loss, uncertainty, life changes and complex decisions associated with an advanced illness can be as difficult as the physical pain. People need a safe place to express negative and other emotions without being judged. Our registered clinical counsellors and trained volunteers provide individuals and/or their families with practical, emotional and spiritual support to:

  • Explore meaning, purpose and value in their lives.
  • Reconcile and heal relationships.
  • Complete important personal tasks.
  • Coordinate care with other health care providers.
  • Cope with sudden, unexpected or traumatic death.

Services are designed to meet the individual’s specific needs and can be:

  • In person, one-on-one or with family.
  • In a Support Group.
  • At home or in hospital.
  • By telephone.

We serve people of all ages: children, teens, adults, and seniors and all of our services are free of charge.
