Counselling
Dealing with loss, uncertainty, life changes and complex decisions associated with an advanced illness can be as difficult as the physical pain. People need a safe place to express negative and other emotions without being judged. Our registered clinical counsellors and trained volunteers provide individuals and/or their families with practical, emotional and spiritual support to:
- Explore meaning, purpose and value in their lives.
- Reconcile and heal relationships.
- Complete important personal tasks.
- Coordinate care with other health care providers.
- Cope with sudden, unexpected or traumatic death.
Services are designed to meet the individual’s specific needs and can be:
- In person, one-on-one or with family.
- In a Support Group.
- At home or in hospital.
- By telephone.
We serve people of all ages: children, teens, adults, and seniors.
