Hospice
Palliative Care
We
believe hospice palliative care exists:
- To
affirm life: not to hasten death but to regard death as a normal process.
- To
respect the worth and individuality of each person who comes for our
care.
- To
offer relief from pain and other distressing symptoms.
- To
help patients with strong and unfamiliar emotions. To assist them to
explore meaning, purpose and value in their lives. To offer the opportunity
to reconcile and heal relationships and complete important personal
tasks.
- To
offer a support system for family and friends during the patientŐs
illness and in bereavement.
White
Rock Hospice Society serves people of all ages: children, teens, adults,
and seniors. We offer the following services to the community, at no

hospital.
- Relaxation
& Support Sessions for adults with a progressive, life-limiting illness.

- Spiritual
Support given by both professional staff and volunteers as an integral
part of good hospice care.
