Support at a Time of Loss
  • Individual and Family Counselling by Registered Clinical Counsellors, assisting people with the often strong and unfamiliar emotions which accompany change and loss.

  • 24-Hour, On-Call Response to families at Peace Arch Hospital's Emergency Ward in cases of unexpected death.

  • One-to-one Support by professional counsellors and trained hospice volunteers.

  • Loss Support Groups offering care and compassion to people who have experienced loss through the death of someone important to them.

  • Relaxation & Support Sessions for adults who are facing bereavement. Includes visualization, relaxation, and gentle touch.

  • Bereavement Walking Groups providing on-going support to bereaved people as they move through their grief, adjusting to life without the person who died. The informal atmosphere of the group helps members invest their energy in new relationships with others who share a common experience.

  • Library Resources providing information for clients, health professionals, and community agencies.

There is no fee for any Hospice programs, however pre-registration is required. For more information on these and other Hospice services, please call Pat Payne or Trudy Merritt at the White Rock Hospice Society, 604-531-7484.
